TAP provides many training workshops throughout the year designed to strengthen Illinois’ system of care for individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) by: 1) increasing the availability and number of appropriately credentialed providers who are trained in administering ASD-specific diagnostics tools; 2) increasing the number of educators, first responders, day care/child care providers, and primary medical providers who are properly trained in early identification of ASD, and 3) providing education and resources for families and/or caregivers.
